Hi, I’m Christie.

FULL-STACK DESIGNER | USER RESEARCHER | WORKSHOP FACILITATOR

Welcome to my site! In both my career and my personal pursuits, I am passionate about helping people clarify their vision and equipping them with functional tools to fulfill their mission.

As a Product Designer, my work is built on the intersection of design thinking, psychology, storytelling and experimentation. I approach complex problems with a desire to understand both the big picture and the nuanced details. By clearly identifying a user’s goals, motivations, and challenges along with understanding desired business outcomes, I am able to find the most impactful opportunities. And although I am eager to tackle most user problems, I specialize in MVPs and building zero-to-one products.
In my role at Vacasa, I was responsible for the end-to-end owner onboarding experience along with tools for an internal team that supported the onboarding phase. My work resulted in significant process efficiencies, a 50% decrease in time to live, and improved NPS, CSAT, and CES scores.
Prior to this, I was the founding designer for a startup that enabled connection between patients and their providers, with a focus on patients with chronic conditions. I developed a suite of tools that empowered patients through video education, secure chat, medication reminders, remote monitoring, and assessments, promoting adherence and positive behavior changes. These solutions were adopted by brands including Optum, United Healthcare, Rite Aid, CVS, Albertsons, and UPMC.
Much of my UX education was gained from reading books, taking courses, mentorship, and trial & error. However, I did receive a degree in Industrial Design from the University of Washington that provided a solid foundation in design thinking and creative processes.
I currently spend my free time with my husband and teenage kids, on the trails with my pudelpointer, cooking, or dabbling in the world of self-watering gardens.
